Thursday Spotlight – Tracy Deighton

*Name: Tracy deighton

*Origin: Alberta

*Years In Fort McMurray:8 yrs

*Animal(s) (age, breed, name): Lucy 8 husky

*Interesting Facts about your animal(s):Lucy is my oldest. She has the most blue eyes you have ever seen. My story starts at the local SPCA when I adopted her. They expressed she was extremely abused and returned many times. My first adventure was when I had her in my truck. I went into the store and came to witness that she had chewed through my window mold, headrest and seat belt. At home, my trim and floor were destroyed. Ignorance was the reason for so many returns. She bit at men’s legs and was so confused. It took 2 yrs of patience and love to have the girl we have today. 7 yrs has passed total and she is beautiful in every way.

*Favorite treat. Homemade ground beef and carrots. That goes for all.

*Animal(s) (age, breed, name):Cody 7 yrs SPCA special.

*Interesting Facts about your animal(s):Cody was darling since a puppy. He has terrible skin allergies but we are managing it. He has always got one ear up and another down which is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. He is 90lbs and thinks he’s a lapdog. Always ready to cuddle and has a great personality.

*Animal(s) (age, breed, name):Roxy 3 yrs, SPCA special.
*Interesting Facts about your animal(s):She has the most spunk out of my dogs. Loves the water and the mud when we go quading (just like her momma). She is always at my feet or at my heels. Lucy and roxy are my protectors. They have an amazing sense for bad people. Haven’t been wrong yet. We almost lost her as a puppy. She had an immune deficiency but was put on the right track and haven’t had a issue since. She loves putting things in her pool and fishing them back out. She’s to adorable for words. They are all rescues and I love everyone of them to bits.

*Favorite Quote: “If you don’t own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.”
