Paws In The Park 2013 [Review]

If you were not at Howard Pew Park on Saturday then you missed an amazing FMSPCA Event, One of my Favorites Actually.  The weather was absolutely perfect that day, I even found myself and Rolo hiding from the sun at one point. In the wee hours of the morning people were down there setting up for a fabulous day full of fun. Me and Rolo stopped by at 7:30am to help get the event ready with them. I’m not to sure of the total they raised at the event but I will announce it once the FMSPCA tallies it all up :) If you weren’t there I EXPECT you to show up next year! :) :)1238919_297607077048213_1167197392_n1238832_297615253714062_1765465837_n
Once it turned 10 am people started showing up with their animals for pre-registration for the walk. The walk was a 2.5km walk around the outside of the park which raised money for the FMSPCA that started at 11am. They had the Chantelle Davidson band perform while people were registering which was nice!

After the walk there was a little break where people could go visit the booths the fmspca had set up including:
-Pawsitive Pet boutique which was ran/Sponsored by  Connect Weekly Newspaper
-Ask the vet booth which was run by Dr.Levitz from Thickwood Vet
-Facepainting Booth
-Kids game booths
-BBQ which was sponsored by Superstore
and a bunch of other booths

Next up was the Bow Wow Beautie Pageant which was sponsored by the Bone & Biscuit and EMCEED By Country 93.3’s Jerry Neville. Me and Rolo participated in this and he surprised me! We entered Musical Sit, Best Costume and Talent. His talent was my favorite; we have a new trick that we have been working on for a few weeks, which is him playing dead. He sits down, I pull our a Gun (with my fingers) and say BANG, He falls over. He usually only does this on carpet and without an audience so I was so shocked when he did it.. Cant you see the surprised look on my face below!??
