*Who is filling out this interview?
*What is your position for your Animal Rescue/Shelter?
Head of cat intake
*Where are you located?
Edmonton and surrounding Counties West of Edmonton
*If someone wanted to become a volunteer, how could they?
They just have to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we send them a volunteer application form. We mostly need volunteers for our foster home program. Our foster home program is essentially babysitting an animal until it is adopted, we provide all the necessary supplies until the animal is adopted.
*What types of items do you take as donations?
Monetary donations, blankets, pet food, kennels, pet beds, toys, collars leashes, cat litter, wet cat food.
*Do you have any fundraisers coming up that you want my viewers to know about?
We are running a Charity Boot camp in Summerside Park Saturday July 19th, $10 drop in fee and we have a charity 5k run/walk August 30th in Terwilleger Park, with gifts for the first 35 people to register (still some available) http://www.events.runningroom.com/site/?raceId=10768
*What is the adoption process like?
You can inquire on the animal through our website and then it gets sent to the foster home and they contact you back. They do a little on the phone/email interview and answer any questions you may have about the animal and tell you all about them. Then a meet and greet gets arranged and you can go spend as much time with the animal as needed. If all goes well you sign the contract and we give you all the vet records and you take the animal home. Our kittens are $200, adult cats $180, Dogs/Puppies $300. All our animals come spay/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and tattooed/micro-chipped.
*What does your shelter/rescue hope to achieve in 2014?
We just want to rescue and place as many animals as we can. We are a non-profit animal rescue that is here to provide homeless, neglected, abandoned and injured animals with a place to live until they can find their forever family.
These animals deserve a second chance, please adopt!
Our mission is to help needy and homeless pet find shelter, love and rehabilitation until a permanent home comes around. We are here to provide all necessary vet care, quality of life sometimes for the first time in their life a sense of family, love and kindness
*Anything else you want to add?
