*Interesting Facts About Your Animal(s)?
Flick loves getting involved with the community, from volunteering at the Food Bank drives to attending SPCA events! As long as he gets to meet new people and see his community friends, he is happy! Flick gets the VIP seat on the dog sled when we go for runs with his brothers and sisters! He also loves going to Agility classes to show off his moves.
*Animal(s) Favorite Treat?
Flick loves just about anything I bring home from the Bone & Biscuit (in Thickwood). And Chicken Nuggets from McDonalds as a special treat!
*Where is your pet(s) favorite place to go?
Flick’s favorite place to go is the municipal landfill, he knows he gets a handful of treats every time!
*Perspective on Adopting a Rescue?
For many years we have either adopted a rescue or have volunteered to help one in need. Every animal deserves the chance to have a happy life with a loving family. When you adopt a rescue you don’t just save a life, you end up saving many. You took in an animal in need, freeing up a spot for a new animal in need and your adoption fee goes towards every aspect of helping these rescues. The best part is you just got yourself a new best friend!
*What’s your favorite thing to do with your animal (walks, going to a park, playing games etc.)?
My favorite thing to do with Flick is agility. Watching him learn new obstacles and the excitement after he completes them is one of the greatest feelings ever.
*Favorite website to get pet information?
*What’s your favorite animal product?
Flick loves anything that squeaks or makes noise, especially if it is shaped like a pig! My personal favorite products usually come from http://canadog.ca/
*Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?
If you are looking to spend some time volunteering, one of the best places to start is at a shelter/rescue. Not only are you helping animals in need, you are giving the staff (or other volunteers) a chance to work on other projects that are vital to the shelter. You feel great knowing that you are helping those in need, especially if adopting or fostering is not something you can do at the moment. If you don’t have time to volunteer you can always donate as well. When it comes to saving lives, every bit counts!
