Happy Thursday Everyone! Hey! It’s almost Friday and more importantly almost Halloween! Today’s Spotlight is on a fellow dog blogger Amanda from Dog Mom Days. Be sure to follow her blog on all her social media pages, which can be found at the very bottom of the interview :) Enjoy!
*Who is filling out this Interview?
*Where are you from?
*Tell me a little about yourself?
I have lived in Arizona for 16 years and I currently reside in Gilbert with my boyfriend, Matt, and our 5 rescue animals. I am a pet blogger and marketing coordinator for Happy Pets Palace & Playground, which is a dog boarding and daycare facility in Mesa, AZ.
*When did you start blogging?
*Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I wanted to share my everyday life as a dog mom. I dedicate my life to my rescue animals and people always seem very interested in my lifestyle. I figured blogging would be a good way to share my experiences!
*How often do you blog? Is it a set schedule or random posts?
I blog about 3 times a week. I don’t have a set schedule because I blog about events I go to and things I do with my dog mom friends.
*What is your blog about?
My blog is about being a dog mom to Wynston, my Chihuahua, and
*Do you have any animals?
I have 5 rescue animals. Kirby, my 6-year-old guinea pig; Joey, my 4-year-old disabled tabby cat; Sadie, my 3-year-old polydactyl calico cat; Wynston, my 3-year-old puppy mill survivor; Khloee, my 4 month old maltipoo whom I just recently rescued.
*What do you hope to achieve with your blog in 2014?
In 2014, I was hoping to achieve 10,000 readers a month, which I have already done. My blog has been more successful than I ever anticipated and it has gotten me many opportunities with major companies. My main overall goal is to spread awareness about animal cruelty and puppy mills.
*Have you ever attended any Blog Conferences? If so what ones and how was it?:
I have not attended any blog conferences, but hope to get to BlogPaws soon!
*What do you get inspiration from?
My animals are my inspiration. They inspire me every day. Each one has been through traumatizing experiences, yet they are so happy, innocent and loving. My animals continue to teach me that life is so precious and full of endless possibilities.
*Any advice for someone wanting to start their own Animal Blog?
I didn’t start with a plan for my animal blog, and if someone wants to start one, I’d say just go for it! There is a lot you can’t plan for and so many things change as you learn more in the industry. You will never succeed unless you try your hardest and take a chance!
*What are some of your favorite pet blogs to read?
My favorite pet blogs are Rubicon Days and Irresistible Pets.
*Anything else you would like to add?
I feel very blessed that I have the opportunity to do what I love. Animals are my life and passion, and I am very lucky that I get to work with them every day!
*Do I have permission to copy this to my blog? yes
*Do I have permission to use the photos you provided me with? yes
