*Why was it started?
There was an unfilled need in the pet tag market for creating true-to-form custom pet tags. Unlike most pet tags that only allow a pet’s name to be engraved on a metal tag, Dura-Tag™ allows full color, double sided customization creations that truly reflect a pet’s personality. Pet owners love pet tags that show a photo of their pet on one side and contact info on the back. Plus, our tags are “noise-free” and are guaranteed to last.

*Do you have any animals? If so, name, breed and something interesting about them?
We have a farm set of animals, 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 frogs, 2 rabbits, 2 hermit crabs, 7 fish and 1 donkey. The donkey and small dog like to chase each other around the yard. Clearly they have something going on!

*What do you specialize in?
Building and promoting the JollyAwesome brand. One thing that lacks in the traditional tag market is the inability to reach not just dog and cat owners but all pet owners. Our product is the first to market to pet owners of all types. Whether we are talking about fish, rabbits, horses, ferrits, birds, turtles or what have you, now all pet owners can create a unique and personalized tag of their pet. Of course the idea of putting a tag around a turtle’s neck is silly, but many pet owners use our product to tag pet gear and accessories or to place an extra tag on a key-ring or on a kid’s backpack.

*What types of services do you offer?
JollyAwesomePetTags offers full color, double sided customized pet tags for all pet.

*What is the approx. cost?
This is the best thing…we offer three “mix or match” tags for $16.95.

*What inspires you?
We here are JollyAwesomePetTags are inspired to “disrupt” the traditional tag industry with our product by providing pet owners with a unique and original product unlike anything on the market. The tags that our customers create are more than a pet tag…they are a product that strengthens the bond between pet and owner.

*What do you plan to accomplish with your business in 2014?
We launched our business this past summer. The response has been overwhelming. People have really taken to our product concept. We love seeing new creations each day of dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, horses and more. We will continue building our brand and our social following. We will also launch our “give back” program in December where we monthly donate to an animal care group over the next year. We will also launch our retail product and launch our “Pet Hero” beta program in 2015.

As noted above, our monthly donation program – “give back” is to launch in December.
