spotlight interviewToday we are featuring Sadie on our blog; “Sadie was found in the mountains of Kentucky with a bullet hole between her eyes and one in her back put there after she had a litter of puppies and left to die. Strangers found her and took her to a veterinarian. Sadie was adopted to her forever home in April 2012. She has undergone surgery and receives daily therapy in her journey to one day walk again. *Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?

Too many animals, too little time! Volunteering at a shelter creates empathy and just may help the person as well as the animal.

*Anything extra you would like to add?
I could write pages, but Sadie and I travel to schools and libraries teaching acceptance of people and animals who have special needs and Sadie also teaches about breaking the cycle of abuse.
