Pet Product Review – NHV Natural Pet Products {Matricalm}

We are starting part four of our NHV Natural Pet Product review series. Today you’re going to learn all about what I call my camping “sanity/sleep savior” Matricalm. You guessed it! It’s an edible calming serum for anxiety and aggressive behavior in dogs. Rolo isn’t aggressive but he does have some anxiety and that comes out the most while camping. I’ll get into that a little further below. We only have one item left after this to review and then we will be doing a big wrap up post. We have completed our first, second and third reviews which can be found by clicking these three products —> {Milk Thistle} & {Multi Essentials} & {Tumeric}

Let’s start this product review!

Appearance & Design

As I opened up the box that it came in, a huge 100ml bottle awaited Rolo. The bottle came with a medicine dropper that acts as a lid which means you don’t have to carry around a measuring spoon to get the correct dosage, which is important and convenient! (FYI, The pill is Rolo’s Epilepsy Medication)

Taste Test by Rolo (if applicable)

Just like all the other NHV Natural Pet Products we have tested, Rolo doesn’t even notice that they are on his food. BUT with this products I gave him half of the dosage he should take with dinner and at bedtime I gave the other half orally. The medicine dropper worked great and we didn’t spill anything anywhere. He didn’t make any weird faces or go directly for water, so that was a good sign that even by its self it isn’t disgusting.

Creativity of Product

As you will see in my final thoughts below, this was a miracle worker for us at the camper. This was so easy to use and the benefits for Rolo and even for me were relieving! This is a must have for those pets who get agitated by maybe fireworks, loud noises, traveling or like Rolo, just simply camping. I love that NHV makes pure herbal extracts and contain no artificial additives, preservatives or coloring. Shelf life after opening is 6 months and must be refrigerated after opening.

Let’s get into why I call this my camping “sanity/sleep savior”. We love camping and Rolo has this thing where he does not like sleeping much, any small sound he gets up and his nails go click, click , click on the floor and it wakes everyone up. He also likes to whine outside our room to take him outside, not that he needs to pee, but he needs to check out the area to make sure he is safe. Normally it is around 3-4 times during the night but the second to last time we went to the camper, Rolo decided he wanted to wake up every hour and wouldn’t stop until someone got up. So I left our room and slept on the couch beside his bed so he would feel safer. He still woke up many times, but at least he wasn’t walking around on the floor going click, click, click. Boy it was a very exhausting camping trip for me. The last time we went, I took the Matricalm with me. Gave half with his dinner and half before bedtime. He did not wake up one single time during the night. At 730 he woke up to start his day. What a relief it was not only that I got to sleep but everyone did, including Rolo.
