Pet Product Review – NHV Natural Pet Products {Thyro-Up}

Today on our blog we are starting our final review for NHV Natural Pet Products. We will also be doing a large wrap up post as well. We have completed the first 4 reviews which can be found by clicking these names –>  {Milk Thistle} & {Multi Essentials} & {Tumeric} & {Matricalm}. Thyro-Up is a natural herbal supplement made to support dogs with hypothyroidism. The thyroid gland is located in the neck which produces a hormone called thyroxine that controls metabolism. With Hypothyroidism, the gland cannot produce enough of that hormone.  Some symptoms include: weight gain, muscle loss, loss of appetite, sluggishness and hair loss.

Let’s start this product review!

As I opened up the box that it came in, a huge 100ml bottle awaited Rolo. The bottle came with a medicine dropper that acts as a lid which means you don’t have to carry around a measuring spoon to get the correct dosage, which is important and convenient!

Taste Test by Rolo (if applicable)

Just like all the other NHV Natural Pet Products we have tested, Rolo cannot even tell that it is on his food, even when I add all the NHV products to his food.

As I have mentioned in each review I have done for NHV, when you can make something so hard as giving pets  pill formed supplements, why not make it as easy as p
ossible and just add it to their food. They don’t notice and there can be so many benefits for each product taken.  Rolo doesn’t have hypothyroidism but I have seen what the affect of weight gain can do for a dog. As Rolo was 13.8 lbs heavier last year. It takes a toll on their life, he was slow, sluggish, sore and in a lot of pain. Also, why not prevent something before it happens? Listed below is the ingredients in the Thyro-Up and what the herb/mineral/vitamin can do.

Eleutherococus – Helps balance the thyroid and maintain healthy metabolism.
Kelp – This iodine-rich ingredient stimulates the under active thyroid gland.
Astragalus – A sweet tonic herb that helps support the thyroid gland and
maintains the immune and circulatory systems.

Gotu Kola – A mild diuretic that helps balance hormones.
High in antioxidants and beneficial to the skin and coat.

Ginko – A kidney tonic that helps maintain body temperature.
Supports the cardiovascular and nervous system.

Licorice – A natural anti-inflammatory with immune-supporting properties.
Watercress – A vitamin and mineral-rich plant that supports digestion.
Papaya – Helps aid digestion and the absorption of nutrients from food.
Cayenne – Helps support the circulatory and digestive systems.

Final Thoughts:
I am really happy with the products we have tested from NHV Natural Pet Products. I was informed that humans can take them as well which I should have known as they are human grade, all natural products. I will be doing my own taste test on them for our wrap up post!  Below I have posted what Thyro-Up can help with:

  • Maintains healthy thyroid function
  • Supports balanced hormone levels
  • Helps elevate your dog’s energy level
  • Promotes healthy skin and coat
  • Supports weight management and metabolism

  1. Knotty Toys for Good Dogs says:

Most thyroid support supplements are not to be taken if there is a pre-existing issues. It’s wonderful to have one that does support those with hypothyroidism while working as a preventative for others. Great post!
