The Bite-Sized, Real Meat, All Natural Way; Nature’s Variety #instinctraw

IMG_7993Rolo has never tried raw food and before this I didn’t know much about raw feeding. This was such a learning experience finding about all the benefits Nature’s Variety Instinct® Raw can provide a pet along with how easy it was to start feeding him it. I contacted Rolo’s assistant; Louie(Rolo’s cousin) to head on down to PetSmart® to do some shopping for him. Instinct Raw Bites are made up of 95% meat, organs and bone, 5% vegetables, fruits and other whole foods which means 0% grain and 0% gluten, for those allergy prone pets and the benefits from feeding raw are through the roof! Instinct Raw is made from high quality, real meat that is all natural, gluten free and high protein.
IMG_8002I used the Instinct Raw Bites as a topper/mix in for Rolo’s food. What I love the most about Instinct Raw was that it was so easy to give to him; just scoop and serve! as well as all of the added benefits. Rolo has been on a weight loss journey due to his Canine Epilepsy medication side effects for a little over a year now, so we have been feeding him low-calorie kibble along with various mix ins. These come in the form of various veggies along with added supplements, so his face when he seen REAL MEAT in his bowl was indescribable. If Rolo could talk, he would tell you all that this is by far his favorite topper! We opted to get two different types of Instinct Raw; Venison & Beef and he enjoyed eating both of them.  As mentioned above, there are a ton of benefits of raw feeding and we have listed a few of them below;

– lean & strong muscles from the meat, bones & organs
– healthy skin & shiny coats from the natural oils & omega fatty acids
– healthy teeth & gums from chewing raw meat & bones
– maximum digestibility due to it being a raw, natural whole food
– relief from food sensitivities

Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw has a handful of different protein choices to choose from. Solely give one type or spice it up and alternate proteins;
chicken, beef, lamb, turkey, duck, venison, rabbit, tuna & organic chicken. If you are starting your dogs off on raw for the first time, it is encouraged to use a transition period of around 7-14 days. As you slowly decrease the kibble add in more Instinct Raw as you do not want your pet(s) being overfed. Take a look at their handy feeding guide  –>

    Riley loves this! I used to cook for him, until he got tired of it and wanted what everyone else was eating. But he did so good on natural food that we wanted something along those lines again. I was uncomfortable, on a personal level, with some of the aspects of raw feeding so Nature’s Variety Instinct has been an excellent find for us.

      This is by far Rolo’s favorite meal topper! I have not seen him gobble up his food that fast before! Almost need one of those slow feeder bowls for this!
