Masquer-“aid” Ball in Support of FMSPCA

As we just wrapped up a couple busy weeks here at Confessions of a Rescue Mom, I wanted to get into detail about the last Fort McMurray SPCA fundraising event I volunteered at. What a fun night it was! October 29th Shell Place Ballroom at MacDonald Island Park was turned into a beautifully put together colorful Masquerade Ball. Events with Vizability did an outstanding job, but really they always do (they do weddings, corporate events, Christmas parties wink, wink!) Teal, Purple & Gold was meshed wonderfully throughout the space along with candelabra’s dawned with crystals, flowers and masks. My Iphone photos do not do justice to how amazing it looked in there, you will have to check out the professional photos in the link  below to get a real feel for the night! You can even spot a photo of me with some hot pink lippies & makeup, which is so out of the norm for me! I was so ecstatic to see so many people go into great detail with their outfits, channeling their inner king, Cinderella, masked beauties & dapper dudes.

The guests were given a complimentary drink as they walked in which was sponsored by Team Bibeau of Royal LePage True North Realty. There were a bunch of tables at the end of the room that featured the amazing silent auction items. People could battle it out on paper to claim there desired prize all while raising funds for the FMSPCA. There was also a live auction that helped raised much-needed funds for a new x-ray machine. Guests were served a spectacular dinner & dessert, could get drinks from the bar and danced the night away. In the middle of the event there were also a few speeches. As we listened to them, I know myself that I shed some tears. Listening to stories of the FMSPCA crew returning back to Fort McMurray after we were evacuated to help save others animals.
