The Fort McMurray SPCA is located at 155 MacAlpine Crescent in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is the shelter we adopted Rolo from on June 23, 2011! We have done a lot of fundraising and volunteering for them over these past few years and we wanted to dedicate a page on our blog to them where we can post events, animals for adoption and just give you some information about them. After all this shelter has done so many amazing things for our community including going above and beyond the “no kill shelter” standards, and creating their own in-house vet clinic for all of the shelter animals made possible by donations.
Shop & Support the Fort McMurray SPCA by purchasing something in their Pawsitive Pet Boutique located at the shelter as soon as you walk in the main doors. In the boutique you will find all of the shelter swag including t-shirts, hoodies, pet sweaters, kids clothing and pet bandanas. They also have a wide variety of food dishes, collars, pet clothing, treats, toys, cat towers and more!
So, your looking for a furry family member? The FMSPCA has a wide variety of dogs & cats in their care; all different ages, breeds, sizes, temperaments all looking for just one thing; a forever home. Note: The FMSPCA updates their website on a regular basis but because they always have new animals coming in and ones getting adopted your best bet is to head on up to the shelter for a visit, plus the adoptables love visitors.
